Over the last 15 years Colville Pet Rescue has worked to save the lives of over 1,900 dogs that may have been euthanized otherwise by the Colville animal control officer. They are listed below. In the past we were able to evaluate the animals as to the injuries and disposition. This to help us get them adopted into new homes. At times rendering medical aid at our cost to help an animal. At this time the Colville Animal shelter has decided not to even notify us of new animals coming into the shelter or being adopted out. They also will not allow us to evaluate, new animals due to insurance concerns. (This after 1900 animals and 15 years??) I have not recieved an email from the animal control since June 25th. I should not have to ask why they stopped. There maybe some dead animals over this, you might get lucky useing facebook, but I would put my wager on a website that has over 5000 links to other rescues around the nation. If your animal control officer really cared about getting them adopted would she not list them on petfinder to say the least. I would strongly suggest that the City of Colville figure this out in a hurry, as other Cities don't seem to have a problem with people trying to do what is right. Webmaster CPR
