Howard is about a
year old boy, wonderful personality, smart, wants to please, he is just
striking and beautiful. Anatolians were used as war dogs and to hunt big game such as lions and even horses. However, their more usual job was to guard sheep, and shepherds would crop their ears and fit them with spiked collars to help them defend flocks from predators. They still perform this task today, watching flocks from high ground and then, at the slightest suspicion of trouble., splitting up and converging silently upon the scene at great speed. This powerful, loyal and loving dog is good with children, makes a fine watchdog and very trainable. However, it cannot be kept in a confined space, is not suited to town life and does not take kindly to strangers. |
