Barney is a sweet senior Malamute boy, up for adoption because his owner went into an assisted living, and she couldn't take him. Barney is about 10 years old, but Malamutes have a long life span, often living to about 18. He had no major health problems, his last check up was June of 2006. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and had his nails clipped with no problem. Barney is good with cats, and obedient. He knows sit, stay, come, and goes well on leash. He loves to ride. He is crate trained. This hardy Arctic dog has been an "indoor" dog, sleeping on the couch, so may have lost his affinity for snow banks. If you want a well behaved gentleman, past the wayward ways of youth, give this beautiful dog a chance. |
