Poco is a purebred Shih Tzu who is owner surrendered because his master is very ill. Poco has been very loved. He is affectionate and playful, and just came from the groomer. Poco is just one year old, already neutered, up on his shots.
We got Poco home and he is settling in nicely. He loves the
big backyard and soft grass.
We came to an agreement on sleeping arrangements last night
fairly easily, he jumped on the bed several times but after
we put him down on his blanket each time after about 15
minutes or so he worked the blanket into a pillow and sacked
out and slept the night through. He seems to be willing to
change to suit our desires.
We haven't had a real problem with the rough play, it may
have just been the other dogs keeping him stirred up. He
tries to jump up occasionally but a sharp no stops him in
his tracks. I think the behavior is about broken. We
walked him last night and I took him for about a mile jog
this morning and he really enjoys that. He is getting
better at leash manners very quickly.
He is very good at staying by your side, no worry about him
running off. In fact its hard to get a photo of him because
he won't get far enough away, but I will attach a couple of
him in his new home.
All in all, he is a fine little dog and I am sure we are
going to do well together.
