Sophie first came to us a year ago. She was a stray, abandoned,
and very pregnant. She had her litter as soon as we got her
from the pound. After her 10 babies were raised and found
homes, Sophie was adopted. Her parents took Sophie when she
could no longer care for her, but they are in their 80s, and didn't
have the time nor energy to take care of Sophie. The
couple writes: "Sophie is very well mannered, and knows sit,
shake, lay down, and roll over. She comes when you call her
name or whistle. She loves to go on walks, and is great with
other animals. She walks well

on a retractable leash. She loves toys - kongs, balls, old rags
to play tug-of-war. She's a clean puppy, and loves to roll in
the snow or on the grass. She loves to have her tummy petted.
She simply goes into a pretzel and lays on her back. She knows
"stay" but for a short time. She is loose in a fenced area and
uses a dogloo in good weather, and a pad inside in a crate in this
cold weather. She has never had an accident in the house.
She is fed twice a day, and loves cook knuckle bones. She
needs a young person who can take her on walks, and do activities
with her." Sophie is current on her shots and is spayed.
