Walter

Walter is a 20 pound purebred Miniature Schnauzer boy, 5 years old, neutered.  Walter is very well trained.  He is house trained, leash trained, crate trained.  He sits on command, knows "go lie down", comes when he's called.  Walter loves kids, and is good with cats and other dogs.  He is a house dog, he sleeps by the bed.  He has a calm dignified way, affectionate, but not hyper at all.
Walter has been surrendered to Rescue because his new owner is allergic.  This owner has only had him for 3 weeks, and was told that his allergies would be OK with a Schnauzer.  He got Walter from a young couple who had him all his life, but had just lost their home in foreclosure, and were moving into a "no pets" apartment.  They had two children that Walter grew up with.
Walter would do well in any  home that he could be a part of the family.  He loves kids, but would also bond with a single older couple or person.
